Rosa Vañó
Sales manager at Castillo de Canena (Jaén, Spain)
From Madrid to Jaén in search of El Dorado. But not mines or river; inside a bottle.
With a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Madrid's Universidad Complutense, Rosa boasts a long professional trajectory and a wealth of experience in management gleaned from various multinationals across a range of sectors.
After working in several posts of responsibility at multinational companies, in 2002 she stepped down from a directorship at Coca-Cola to make her father's dream come true along with her brother Paco: running the family's olive grove in Jaén.
This led to the incorporation of Castillo de Canena Olive Juice, a Jaén olive oil group which within a very short space of time has made a name for itself in terms of innovation and quality within the high-end oil market worldwide.
In 2008 Vañó was declared Best Female Entrepreneur of the Year, and in 2020 she became president of the Andalusian Academy of Gastronomy and Tourism.
