Montse Serra

Manager and head of restaurant floor at Miramar** (Llançà, Girona, Spain)

Montse Serra is the fourth generation of the Serra family to head up the hotel-restaurant Miramar (Llançà).

The hotel-restaurant Miramar was opened at the end of the Civil War. In 1984 the restaurant lost its chef, and Montse's brother recommended one of his football team mates, Paco Pérez. Paco went to work at the Miramar and he soon became Montse's boyfriend, later marrying her and helping to run the family business. Montse runs the restaurant floor, and took the Juli Soler Award for her work there in 2021.

In addition to her management of the Miramar, she set up a small business group with her husband which runs other catering enterprises.
