Manager Conservas Angelachu (Santoña, Cantabria)
Silvia Salgado Losada is the founder and manager of Angelachu, an artisan canning company in Santoña that was founded in 1999 to continue the family tradition started in 1950 by her grandparents with the brand Salazones José Losada.
Angelachu is the name of her grandmother, who instilled in her the knowledge, care and passion required to produce Cantabrian anchovies.
Silvia manages a team of 20 people, mostly women, on a daily basis.
Angelachu belongs to CONSESA, the association of Cantabrian canners, of which she is vice-president. In fact, she is one of the few women with executive responsibility in a cannery in our country.
